iMiC is an interdisciplinary translational research project. It aims to improve movement therapies for children with cerebral motor impairment, using innovative rehabilitation technologies such as virtual reality therapy systems for upper and lower extremities.
Vibrational Architectures investigates the design of interactive architectural elements for public spaces. The main focus is on non-visual media including touch and sound and on the ways in which these may shape social and sensory experiences in a specific location, such as an urban square.
Sonic Interaction Design is fostered by a number of parallel developments that have increased relevance of sound in interactive products today. The ubiquitous nature of computing and communication resources has led to the progressive spread of interactive everyday products.
