Under the Influence — Mind/ Body/ Media
Today, new technologies provide the opportunity of visualizing the causality of (media)inputs and their physical impacts on the body. How can we apply this knlowledge in artistic interventions?
Even though emotion related bodily states and their impact on the autonomic nervous system are well known, we are not aware of it most of the time. Today, new technologies provide the opportunity to visualize and explore the causality of (media)inputs and their physical impacts on the body. As designers, we can apply this knolwledge on our artistic interventions. In my thesis I explore this causality by research, self observation and prototyping. My aim is to create an immersive experience in order to self observe media, mind and body interaction within the environmental context.
