The Talk – How we talk about racism & our stories

A personal story can trigger a lot and create insights that we weren’t conscious of before. Through a narrative, we uncover facts that we weren’t aware of—such as racism. For me, 2020 was a year that made visible a lot of things that had always been there. As a black person in a society dominated by white people, I am constantly aware of my reality.
How do we talk about racism and what can we do to abolish it? In various formats—such as individual conversations or a Black Regulars’ table—stories about this have been told and collected, showing what our reality looks like. These stories help drive sustainable action and awareness, while at the same time creating opportunities to find common ground.
