Award «Die schönsten Schweizer Bücher» for publication Swiss Graphic Design Histories
On the recommendation of the international jury, the Federal Office of Culture (FOC) has selected the works that will receive awards in the competition «Die schönsten Schweizer Bücher» (The Most Beautiful Swiss Books). Among them is the 4-volume publication «Swiss Graphic Design Histories», one of the outputs of the research project "Swiss Graphic Design and Typography Revisited".
The design is by Simone Farner and Naima Schalcher, and the editors are Davide Fornari (ECAL), Robert Lzicar (HKB), Sarah Owens (ZHdK), Michael Renner (HGK FHNW), Arne Scheuermann (HKB) and Peter J. Schneemann (University of Bern).
The publication was also funded by the SNSF with a publication grant.
