How does cloud gaming influence the future design of narrative indie games?
The rise of streaming and subscription services is currently causing a major shift in the games industry. This thesis explores how this change in distribution and monetisation affects the design of games and that of story-based games in particular.
Findings derived from theoretical work and research were implemented in the game prototype «Down the Road». This interactive, cinematic experience straddles the line between film, series and game, with a narrative structure based on modern television series.
