If the city is to be for everyone, there must be room for new approaches to urban development.
Occupy/ Re-Occupy is about freeing up space, creating more room to experiment, and claiming gaps in the urban landscape. Employing the principles of action research, STUDIO FUMO’s ‘free-space shuttle’ advocates for direct, DIY urban development. STUDIO FUMO operates in the ether and transgressively breaches boundaries. Less haste more speed. Zürich is a playground being conquered through experimental and playful interventions true to the principles of HACK // PLAY \\ ACT! The result is an appreciation in (poetic) value, since space is a luxury and urban occupation very much in vogue.
