NI - people weaving culture

Ni sees crafts(wo)men who work in local traditions as creative designers and stylists with a distinct cultural identity. Field research in Peru and Indonesia, conducted in conjunction with market analysis in Europe, revealed demand for authentic, personalized products with a transparent manufacturing history.

We want to ensure textile designers from the Global South enjoy a position of respect on the world market. Customers can access our Ni platform to select their preferred artists, help design their own item, and look forward to receiving an authentic and surprising end product.

The project is undertaken in collaboration with a number of textile crafts communities in Peru and Indonesia.
