The edge of the book — Book design possibilities, opened up by transformation of the paper form
Today we have entered the era of data and the Internet, and many new and various options have emerged as a means for reading, such as browsing the information on the internet or e-books. These developments have engendered the question «what are the unique characteristics of the paper book?». This research project suggests not only the extant virtues of conventional paper books but also the improvements books can receive from further development.
By comparing different media and studying book models, this project explores new functional possibilities for the paper medium through the transformation of its physical form.
